The Daily Whatever, July 24: Outrage & Civil Discourse with Walter Rhein and Nick Paro

I was delighted to welcome Walter Rhein and Nick Paro to The Daily Whatever this morning as the incomparable Dana DuBois continues her penguin-rescuing mission on the Western Antarctic Peninsula (WAP (What, you didn’t think it could mean two things?))

We kicked off the show with a show of love for our dear friend Füsun Aydın. Please, send her some love and show you care by signing up for her newsletter and, if you are able, by becoming a paid subscriber to her. Füsun, we love you! I hope you were able to see the outpouring of love for you this morning in the Chat.

Walter and Nick each have a distinctive style here on Substack; Nick is known for his poetry, and Walter is the modern master of the powerful Note. We spoke a bit about that, and then, inevitably, got sidetracked by the looming specter of the Epstein Files, and the scourge of pedophilia.

We all shared a ton, and our community Chat was, as usual, open, honest, loving, and supportive.

We hope you’ll have a chance to watch the recording, and please let us know what you think!
