Storytime: My Genderfluid Teen Tried to Explain Their Identity to My Dad
A reading from Pink Hair & Pronouns, as told Live on Substack

Well now, this is strange.
Just yesterday, I checked the “Live” functionality and determined I could go live to any of my publications. I indended this one to go to the Pink Hair & Pronouns audience. But instead it went to GenXy.
Clearly I still have much to learn in the ways of how Live functions.
It was still a lovely way to spend a Sunday late-afternoon, reading one of my favorite stories to the kind Substackers who showed up to listen. Huge thanks to all of you.
The story is called My Genderfluid Tween Tried to Explain Their Gender Identity to My Dad, and I published it to Pink Hair & Pronouns on Substack a couple weeks back, and on Medium last year.
It’s one of my favorites.
I hope you enjoy!
I’m gonna try again with reading a Pink Hair & Pronouns story later this week, hopefully to the correct audience next time…
